Paint Colour Affecting Your Mood
Tuesday June 2, 2009
It may come as a surprise to some but paint colour has the ability to alter the way we feel and think, so before you pick your colour scheme for your house, it's a good idea to research their effect.
More than just a tint, colours such as red, pink, orange, yellow, green, blue and many more all produce very different effects. People often gain the wervices of a colour consultant to help them make the best decision for their offie or home paint.
The emotionally intense colour of red could be just the pigment to colour your walls if you wish your room to be conducive to conversation as it sparks talkative and excited behaviour. On the other end, it can also stir passion or aggression and therefore it's a good idea to select the most appropriate shade of red for your room.
Paint colour in pink is great to splash on your walls because it tends to produce a tranquilising, softening effect. It can also induce loss of energy so it is best to keep this colour away from rooms that need to be stimulating.
Orange is a colour to be careful of as while it is quite vivacious, it has been known to cause headaches. Like its neighbour, it's wise to be wary of yellow paint colour. Yellow is known as a colour that is difficult for our eyes to take in, causing babies to cry and making adults uptight. However, depending on if you are using a soft shade of yellow paint colour, it can also help enhance concentration, produce energy, and connotes the sunrise each morning.
Green is one of the easiest colours on your eye and is a popular colour to paint a room. Being so close to the colour of nature, green has a calming and refreshing effect on your mood.
Blue is another peaceful colour and is widely used to paint rooms because of its tranquil effect. Blue is also known to enhance productivity, however it can also be sleep inducing.
